Dust off those old bowling balls and shoes, get some co-workers together and join us for a fun filled evening at the Huber Heights Chamber Bowl on April 4 from 8 to 10 p.m.

Poelking-Marian Center is be where it’s all happening.  You don’t need to be a bowler – it’s all for fun.   This is one of the newest events the Chamber is hosting and a great opportunity to get friends and co-workers together an meet other Chamber members, their employees and friends to network in a relaxed (yet competitive) atmosphere.

Lane sponsorships for this evening of fun are $125 which includes cost for 6 bowlers, signage on the lanes, pizza and soft drinks, shoe rental and 2 hours of bowling.  Cost for individual bowlers is $20.  This evening will also highlight a 50/50 drawing, silent auctions, door prizes and much more.

The focus will be on medical insurance and in particular the new HealthCare for One program that Chamber members now have access to. HealthCare for One is focused on the small business..

Health care and the cost of health care is a growing concern for everyone and this will be an opportunity to learn ways to help.

The meeting is at Holiday Inn Express,  5612 Merily Way.  Lunch will be provided at 11:30 with the meeting from 12 noon to 1 pm.  Cost for this meeting will be $10 per person for members and $15 per person for non-members.

Pete Luongo, former CEO of The Berry Company and author of 10 Truths About Leadership is the guest speaker. Luongo retired as President and CEO of The Berry Company in August 2003. His career at The Berry Company spanned more than 33 years. During his last nine years with the company, Peter was instrumental in guiding Berry through a period of record sales growth, numerous contract acquisitions and the perpetuation of the nearly 100-year-old company as an industry leader and “a great place to work.”

The Huber Heights YMCA currently serves over 2700 families through YMCA membership, 44% of these families are receiving financial assistance from the YMCA. Over 1,000 children also receive assistance to participate in life changing programs such as day camp, swim lessons, youth sports, and more.  As a part of the YMCA mission they strive to deny no one the opportunity to join the YMCA or participate in programs because of their financial position.   That financial assistance is provided through the Strong Kids Campaign.

Cost for this luncheon is Individual $25; Leadership Champion $300 (which Includes attendance for 8, sponsorship recognition for your company on our Strong Kids promotional banner and event program).

The Chamber WINGS (Women In Networking Generating Success) is a networking opportunity for women who own or work in a business that is a Chamber member.

On the second Thursday of Every month we have 2 businesses that present “Show N Tell,” this is a 5 minute “commercial” about their business or a special their business is offering. We also have a guest speaker and a buffet lunch. Reservations are due no later than noon on the Tuesday prior to the meeting.
